Why the Surf Coast?

One of the most rewarding aspects of being a health practitioner on the Surf Coast is the vibrant community of dedicated professionals with whom I have the privilege to collaborate. Each day, I’m inspired by the commitment of my fellow health and birth workers, and the stunning ocean views that accompany my commute to and from work never fail to uplift my spirit.

My Mission

My mission is rooted in providing support that is both individually tailored, non-judgmental, and empathetic. I aim to offer a warm, collaborative, and respectful environment for my clients. Recognising that each person’s challenges are unique and significant, my goal is to help individuals feel understood and supported. In my perinatal work, I focus on empowering clients to build confidence and nurture hope for their future, which not only benefits them but also positively impacts the next generation.

Who Do I Support?

I am passionate about working with a diverse range of individuals. My practice primarily focuses on those experiencing mental health symptoms such as depression and anxiety, stress or adjustment difficulties, grief and loss, eating disorders, and perinatal challenges related to preconception, conception, pregnancy, and parenting. Each person’s journey is distinct, and I am committed to providing personalised support that meets their unique needs.

Client Feedback

Clients often describe my service as a source of calm and comfort. Many mention that my voice instills a sense of trust, making it easier for them to open up and engage in the therapeutic process. This feedback reinforces my belief in the importance of creating a safe and welcoming space for personal growth.

My Approach

My therapeutic approach is eclectic, tailored to the specific needs of each client. I integrate techniques from Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, and Mindfulness. This blend allows me to adapt my methods to effectively address the diverse needs and goals of those I work with.

Favourite Quote

One of my favorite quotes is by Nancy Bardacke: “Expectations are suffering under construction.” This quote resonates deeply with me and serves as a reminder of the importance of managing expectations and embracing the present moment.

Local Favourites

Living on the Surf Coast, I am fortunate to have access to both the beach and the bush, which are my two favorite places to spend time. The natural beauty and tranquility of these locations provide me with a profound sense of grounding and connection, enhancing both my personal and professional life.
